What is bubble?
Setup and run by parents, bubble is the UKās biggest on-demand childcare platform, connecting parents to babysitters and nannies that their friends and community love, use and trust.
Over 100,000 people use bubble to organise their range of childcare needs - from ad-hoc and occasional babysitting, to more regular and recurring childcare, such as after-school pick ups.

How can I book a babysitter?
Parents love bubble because it gives them total flexibility and control to choose the perfect carer for them. You simply post your job and have local sitters apply.
You can then view their profiles, previous reviews and the friends you have in common, before making your choice and confirming the sit. Lots of parents choose to speak, skype or event meet with their sitter first and there is never an obligation to choose anyone.
How much does it cost?
Signing up to bubble and posting a job is free. Every sitter sets their own rate, and you simply pay them via a tap through bubble at the end of the sit.
Most parents on bubble pay zero booking fees on all their sits because theyāre part of ābubble plusā, our subscription service which for Ā£9.99 a month, gives parents unlimited sits with no other fees to pay.
If you opt not to use ābubble plusā, then a booking fee of Ā£5.99, or Ā£9.99 when booking with less than 24 hours' notice, is applied to each sit.
What can I use bubble for?
Every day, parents are using bubble for a wide range of needs. Whether itās to work in the day time, or socialise in the evening - bubble is a tool which lets you call in some extra help whenever you need it and whatever you need it for.
Shopping, haircuts, house viewings, yoga classes and whisper it...weekend lie-ins(!) are all some of the reasons why parents use bubble to arrange great childcare on their terms.
What checks are in place on the sitters?
bubble is not an agency or employer. Weāre a marketplace with the aim of connecting parents to local carers in the most secure and transparent way possible. We give parents the information, tools and functionality to make informed choices that are right for them.
Every babysitter on the platform must pass an identity check and online background check before their profile goes live. As of July 2019, new sitters signing up to the platform are also required to submit two references as well. If a carer has a DBS check, bubble will verify this and display it on their profile for a parent to see. Furthermore, every sit on bubble is covered by Ā£1m public liability insurance and all payment is handled securely via the platform too. You can read more about this here.
Can I meet my babysitter first?
Yes, absolutely. Lots of parents choose to meet their sitter before a sit, or do a skype interview. Many also do their first sit with someone new whilst still at home, which is a great way to get everyone comfortable.
